Apples, and pumpkins, and wine! Oh my!

Derek's class was canceled on Friday, so we decided to drive upstate and go apple picking. We found this little orchard that also has a winery called Applewood Orchards and Winery. It was about 5 minutes away from a little place called Sugar Loaf Crafts Village. Turns out, it is really just one street, but it had a bunch of independently owned craft and art shops, which were pretty neat. Completely hippy, but cute. We had a really good time and the weather even cooperated. Now I'm looking forward to apple pie!

There was also a little garden type area, which is probably really pretty in the summer. There were roosters, an adorable extremely well behaved dog, bunnies, and sheep

The awesome homemade all natural soap shop we went to. Loved this place. It's called Rosner Soap and you should check out their website. The loofa soap is pretty amazing.

The Barnsider Restaurant. We ate lunch here and it was surprisingly yummy for a really reasonable price.

I forgot to take pictures at the winery, but Derek did a little wine tasting there. It was 5 dollars for 5 different types of wine. He really liked their hard cider, so we got some of that, and one of their apple flavored white wines. He wasn't the biggest fan of their reds though.
