Derek was supposed to be gone, but due to some unforeseen circumstances he was home, and we got an opportunity to visit this pretty area of Ka'ena point on our side of the island (the leeward side…versus the north shore area, which is where were before). Once again, madeline had an awesome time playing in the kind of tide pools and picking up snails, which were everywhere. I think she might have sent a most of them snail heaven, because she insisted on picking them up and putting them in her bucket and then filling the bucket with sand. Oops! She wanted to take them home as pets, so at least we spared them that.
