On one of our last trips to the city we decided to go to Earl’s Beer and Cheese and then the roof of the Met. We wanted to go to the Central Park Zoo, but we didn’t have time. Earl’s is a really tiny restaurant that basically serves beer and cheese related foods, but it had good reviews, and the guy who started it was a former Navy submarine cook.
It was yummy and I guess someone filled her belly, because this is what she looked like by the time we got to the Met.
We only missed one rooftop exhibit at the Met and we usually really enjoy it, so we knew we had to go one last time. This exhibit was called Cloud City and it was basically a giant metal sculpture with reflective and see through surfaces. You could actually climb inside it, which I’m sure was really awesome and probably added a whole new dimension to the exhibit, but with the baby being asleep, we decided not to climb around. We walked around the Met for a while, baby woke up, we took some pictures, and then we said goodbye to our favorite museum.
After we left the Met, we strolled through Central Park and stopped at the Turtle Pond. We actually saw quite a few turtles this time! We stopped by Belvedere Castle and then headed over to Chelsea Market, where we shopped and ate for the last time. I will miss Chelsea Market quite a bit.
