June meant a small change of schedule. Madeline stopped going to Toddler Tango and started a move and wiggle class at a real dance studio. It is her first non mommy and me class and so far, it is going well. She seems to really enjoy it! She also started swimming lessons and in the course of 2 weeks (4 lessons) she went from screaming and clinging to the teacher, to swimming and floating. Now (it is the end of June), after a month of sessions, she is practically a fish. It has been an amazing transformation.
Lots of rain!
Her first caprese salad with basil she grew herself

Summer tourist have taken over our "private" beach
This was after finding our first centipede in the house. I tied up the curtains so it couldn't climb the walls and get on the couch. Maybe not logical but when you see one, logic goes out the window. The next day the movers came to pick up the last of our boxes and found baby centipedes in them. Gah. Haven't seen any since, so that is a good thing!
Madeline has been asking me for rain boots for months and when we saw these on clearance in Target, she finally persuaded me to buy them. She ran around the store dancing in them and has worn them almost every day since. She even slept with them on her pillow the night she got them.
With her pink boots and Anna braids, begrudgingly taking a picture with Daddy. They are so identical that they take bad pictures the same way! This was father's day weekend, which was unfortunately busy with work stuff for Derek, but hopefully we've made it up to him since.
This kid loves to put stickers on the strangest places. Sometimes I'll find them on her belly or behind a knee, or more likely stuck to my pants!
Gran and grandad sent Madeline's birthday present a little early and it was filled with princess goodies. Dresses and accessories galore. She has been in heaven dressing up.
Another day, another outfit she accessorized with my scarf (by herself), and yes, the pink boots.
Passed out baby. She got pink eye this month. So yay for even more time at the doctor's office!
Madeline has been begging to go to the fair since she saw it set up, so today we finally took her. She had a blast and got her long awaited candy apple. She also rode a ton of rides, including her first trip on the ferris wheel and her first "roller coaster" After she got off the roller coaster she said, "it was fun but my tummy was shivering" Daddy also won her a pony, her first fair prize from a boy.
In the fun maze, seconds before she ran smack into a mirror thinking she had found the next hallway. I mean, full force ran head first into it. It was hilarious.
And now I am officially caught up, though by the time you read this, I'm sure I'll be behind again!
