My poor little love has had a terrible rash since christmas day and its been breaking our hearts. We've seen 3 different doctors, all of whim said it was something different, but to just leave it be, put lotion on it, and wait it out. A few days ago she started scratching herself pretty bad and you could just tell she was getting more and more uncomfortable. We had a last minute doctor appointment today And the doctor search decided she has eczema, which she said the baby didn't have just last week. She also said it probably started in GA with the dry weather, but the baby has had red bumps for months, they were just never bad like this. I'm a little irritated with how this whole situation and my concerns about her skin were handled by all the doctors, but especially by her pedatrican. I'm still not totally comfortable with the diagnosis, but she gave us medicine, and if this is eczema, it will hopefully get better.
Here is a picture from the morning after we left GA to come back to NYC and a more recent shot. I wish you guys could feel how bumpy and thick and bizarre her skin feels or see how raised it gets. It hurts my heart.
