Madeline turned 3 months on Saturday. She has found her hands and has them in her mouth pretty much constantly. We’re still trying to master the skill of grabbing but if you put something in her hand (this double sided rattle is her favorite), she’ll hold it and usually tries to put it straight in her mouth. She loves to hold on to fingers and if she gets your finger, you can guarantee some part of your hand is going in her mouth. The drool is pretty constant now as well and she is blowing bubbles like a pro. She loves her play mat and she is at the point now where she recognizes her mommy and daddy. She smiles all the time and is “talking” up a storm. She might love mommy when she doesn’t feel good, but she loves to stare at daddy while he talks to her and they play. She is so close to rolling over from her back to her tummy and its her new favorite thing to try to do. She is also getting pretty good at holding her head steady when she sits up. She still loves the bath and is starting to take to the stroller (thank goodness!). We still have no real schedule, though in general she goes to sleep by 1 AM and will for 8 hours, and every week is getting a little bit easier. I didn’t know it was possible to love something more and more everyday, but when I wake up in the morning and see her smile, my heart explodes from being so full. It doesn’t hurt that she has the cutest gummiest little smile in the world. Why do babies have to grow teeth?
So here she is 3 months after she was born…practically a grown up…
All smiles
This look says…why are you still taking my picture you crazy people?
Oh…its because I’m this cute right?
Bonus – my little tiger as she was pooping and ruining that costume (unbeknownst to me, of course)
i miss her little body :-(
